Outdoor Activities
Set within the beautiful golden valley, we have rivers and hills on our doorstep for you to enjoy. There are historic buildings to explore and trails to follow, rivers to fish and mountains to climb.
The river Wye also is a short drive where we can arrange for you to be drifting down the river in a canoe, whatever takes your fancy.
Julian (co-owner of the house) is a keen fisherman and can send you in the right direction for both fly-fishing and course fishing, some rods are available, but to make sure you don’t blame the tools, better to bring your own!
Fishing on the River Dore is avaliable but needs to be arranged with Charis Ward first. She can be contacted on 01981 240419.
The local views can be enjoyed by bike if you didn’t want to drive anywhere. Some bikes are available, feel free to bring your own.
If you wanted something more adventurous we can arrange a number of outdoor activities through a local company, including shooting, off road driving and team building exercises. Please ask before you arrive due to availability.

Abbey Dore Court is ideally situated for a wide range of activities and site-seeing in and around Herefordshire.
Recently modernised to a high standard, up to 16 can be accommodated for long weekend and weekly rentals.
